Hello Music Mondayers, and welcome to the second edition of Music Monday, on this fine wednesday evening. It's been a while since I did a MM, but that's 'cause I've had ninety nine problems and four of them were catering. But nonetheless, I'll carry on and try to do this more often from now on. I've also decided to put a slightly more personal spin on this, so that it doesn't feel like you're reading what a robot has written.

So lets press on with the music, our first featured Music Someday artist is Gallows. Gallows are an English punk/hardcore rock band from Hertfordshire, England, formed in 2005. Gallows are known for their energetic live performances and strong athiestic viewpoints. Gallows Wikipedia, Gallows at, Official Gallows website.

The Gallows album I'm reccomending to you lot of scallywags this week is called Grey Britain. Kerrang! magazine gave it 5 K's out of 5 (No copy of the review is available online, sorry. I'll see if I can scan it tomorrow.), Rock Louder gave it five out of five and Clash gave it a nine out of ten. Hell, even Mr. Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance personally recommended it. Now, for the info.

Grey Britain - (hxxp:// -> http://) 47.21MB, at sendspace because megaupload has started to hate me.

This album really is amazing, it's angry, it's so angry that it makes you angry and you probably don't even live in Britain! Really, do yourself a favour and download it. And then come back later to thank me.

Next up we have a little known band called Placebo! Oh who am I kidding, Placebo have been around for donkey's years. Placebo are an alternative rock band formed in London in 1994, currently consisting of Brian Molko, Stefan Olsdal and Steve Forrest. To date, they have released six studio albums, six EPs and twenty-seven singles. Placebo Wikipedia, Placebo at, Placebo official website.

So the next album I'll be recommending to you swines is called Battle For The Sun. Battle For The Sun was a big thing for Placebo after their 2006 release 'Meds,' as they'd gotten rid of their previous drummer and ditched the drugs. The slightly less metaphorically titled Battle For The Sun is about the fight for the light on the other side, the battle that they went through getting clean and sober. Brain Molko, the lead singer/guitarist of the band commented that he didn't remember recording half of the stuff on Meds, that he was that out of it. That was their wake up call.

Reviews were mixed, Alternative Press gave it 4 and a half stars out of five, wheras Pitchfork Media gave it a 3.9 out of 10. It's really for you to decide for yourself, personally I'd give this album a 9.5 out of 10. If you do want to read reviews, you can find them at the album's Wikipedia page. Now for the downloading!

The lyrics, the music, the whole thing makes me want to roll around on the floor in hundred of copies of the CD in utter happiness, like a dog rolling in mud. Highly highly highly recommended.

It's time for my

Which isn't really that wild to be perfectly honest. It's only a single song because I thought people wouldn't want to download stuff I didn't tell them about. But it's a rad song, I even offer a try before you buy option.

Was it as good for you as it was for me? Go ahead and tell me if I could ~improve it ("HOW CAN YOU IMPROVE ON PERFECTION?" is welcome) or not in a comment! Constructive criticism is a useful thing. Also, feel free to recommend bands for the next Music Monday!
